As Jordan Peterson says repeatedly in his lectures, "Life is suffering."
...Well that is pretty depressing...How should we respond to that?
First of all, stop complaining. Complaining is like an airborne poison that spreads from person to person. It does not solve any of our problems and it is selfish. It is selfish because it brings the people around us down; also, no body wants to listen our complaints. It is depressing and makes us weak; you are not weak, God created you to be strong, so stop complaining.
The Bible tells us, "...for it is God who works in you to will and act in order to fulfill His good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you become blameless and pure." (Philippians 2:13-14)
1. Stop Complaining. It's in the Bible.
Everyone experiences the hardships of everyday life, relationships, social pressures..ect. Life is HARD, sometimes unbearable. What can we do to combat the hardships of life?
2. Give Thanks.
"In every thing give thanks: for it is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1Thessalonians 5:18)
Start every day by writing down ten things that you are grateful for. Be specific and use your five senses. Think about your relationships, past and present, even the bad ones--they taught us lessons and helped us to grow. Life is hard, but there is always something we can find to give our thanks for.
Always give thanks before starting your day, it will make for a great day, everyday.
